“been Here before”,  by Collective Motion, is an evening length work comprised of interweaving sections addressing the cyclical nature of societal struggle as evidenced by topics from environmental destruction, political power plays and interpersonal warfare. Viewed separately each section, ranging from the humorous to the serious, represents an independent emotion, era or situation, but taken together “been Here before” acts as a metaphorical mirror to societies inability to break its own self destructive patterns.
